Field Notes on Seeing, photographed by Soham Joshi, curated by Gurnoor Singh, with text by Srushti Sharma, explores the space between looking and seeing, and the ways an image can hold more than what is immediately visible.

Beginning as a series of photographs made through an instinctive, point-and-shoot process, the work gradually evolved into a shared visual and textual narrative. Moving between images, words and tactile forms, the series considers seeing as an active, personal and continually unfolding experience. Rather than treating a photograph as something detached from its origin, Field Notes on Seeing brings the image back to the emotional landscape and time in which it was made.
