Sarita Champaklal Desai is loath to admit that she is now a senior citizen. But age is catching up and she is at a sanatorium, recovering from an illness. According to Dr. Harpreet Singh, the experienced medical chief, there is nothing physically wrong with her. However, her unpredictable ways, odd ideas and impulsive behaviour have completely overturned his familiar and orderly worldview. Sarita refuses to comply with the rules of the sanatorium, leading to explosive confrontations with the ever-responsible Dr. Singh.
But her enthusiasm for life, though a little skewed, is also infectious and the lonely doctor finds himself drawn to her. Eventually, mutual irritation evolves into concern and understanding, and perhaps, the beginning of a delicate new relationship.
