Mahalakshmi Iyer: Mahalakshmi Iyer is amongst India’s very popular playback singers, having sung in more than 5000 songs in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Konkani, Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi and more in both film and non-film albums. She sings in many genres of music, including Ghazals, Devotional, Fusion, Sufi, etc. She has performed extensively on stage in India and abroad with A R Rahman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Jatin Lalit, and has done over a thousand shows as a solo performing artist with her band.
