Daughter and disciple of the legendary Baba Allauddin Khan, the founder of the Maihar-Senia gharana, Annapurna Devi (1929-2018) was an outstanding guru and one of the greatest exponents of surbahar. Although she trained iconic artistes like Hariprasad Chaurasia and Nikhil Banerjee, she chose to remain away from all the limelight of the music world. This film attempts to understand her life and the hard decisions that she took. It seeks to follow her journey down the road not often travelled.
