Siddhesh Bicholkar first received guidance from Sharad Mathkar in Goa and later from renowned harmonium exponent Tulsidas Borkar. He played the difficult and lesser-known jal tarang with the encouragement of Mathkar, who personally crafted Bicholkar’s first jal tarang apparatus. He has since presented recitals with the instrument taking centre stage, a rare occurrence in the world of Indian classical music. Bicholkar has a Sangeet Alankar from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj. He has been a recipient of many coveted music scholarships and accolades from the Government of India’s Human Resource Development Ministry. He has accompanied stalwarts, such as Girja Devi, Shubha Mudgal, Zakir Hussain and Jasraj, among many others. He has performed at prestigious festivals in India and abroad. He teaches classical music at Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya in Mumbai.

Proficient in khayal, thumri, dadra and bhajan, Supriyo Dutta has trained under Ramkrishna Basu (Indore gharana), Vijay Kumar Kichlu and Subhra Guha. He is currently receiving taleem from Arvind Parikh. Dutta is an empanelled artist of the ICCR and has performed extensively across India and around the world. He has CDs and digital releases to his credit, has directed documentaries related to Hindustani classical music and worked as a music director and playback singer. Dutta’s classes and workshops have helped introduce Hindustani music to many in India and abroad.
