NCPA Page to Stage presents Changing Unchanging: New and Selected Poems by Anju Makhija, Sahitya Akademi award-winning poet, playwright, and translator.
This landmark collection, spanning nearly three decades, captures the restless rhythms of our times uncertainty in an age of war, the transcendence of Sufi thought, and the biting humour of Mumbai’s streets.
Her poems move between impermanence and imagination, confronting “full-time schemers” with the daring act of beauty and truth.
The evening will feature an engaging presentation by Dr. Omkar Bhatkar and the Metamorphosis Theatre and Films troupe, bringing Makhija’s verses alive through dramatic interpretation.
A dialogue with the author will follow, opening a space where poetry, theatre, and lived experience meet. Changing Unchanging is both a reflection and a provocation an invitation to dream wide awake.
