The Motus Quartet, comprising of Tim de Vries, Karla Križ, Erin Pitts and Domonkos Hartmann, trained under Johannes Meissl at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. They are recipients of the Artis Quartet Award and the Viennese Classicism Award. The quartet regularly participates in ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) and Musethica sessions across Europe. They have performed at the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Vienna Musikverein and in Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia and the United States.
The quartet will be accompanied by Dr. Marialena Fernandes. Born in Bombay, Dr. Fernandes has been teaching at the University of Music & Performing Arts in Vienna since 1991. Her project ‘Quest for Passion’ incorporates musicians from Europe and India. She recently received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award – 2025 from the Government of India.
