Cha Khaben, Ghosaldada?

An archival film covering a journey taken by a group of legendary Indian classical musicians accompanying the tabla maestro Zakir Hussain on a bus travelling through rural West Bengal during a musical tour for the Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.

The Space Between the Notes
English with Subtitles (50 mins)
A dialogue, exploration and performance between Zakir Hussain and Niladri Kumar. Through insightful exchanges between the two maestros, Kumar on sitar and Hussain on tabla, the film probes some of the key components of the art of Hindustani classical music as well as how these musicians make magic together in the expression of their music.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session
Entry free on a first come, first served basis. NCPA Members will get preferential seating till 6.20 pm.
