Jyoti Hegde was initially trained in the sitar and later took up the rudra veena with Asad Ali Khan, the renowned maestro representing the Khandarbani style of dhrupad. She has also trained with Indudhar Nirody of the Agra gharana. As a female exponent of the rudra veena, she is recognised as one of the very few practitioners of this rare instrument. A recipient of several awards, she carries forth the tradition by training students at her gurukul.

Debopriya and Suchismita Chatterjee were born in a musical family. They have been trained by Bholanath Prasanna and the celebrated maestro of bansuri, Hariprasad Chaurasia. Their exposure to Western classical music has added a global dimension to their Indian foundation. Known as the ‘Flute Sisters’, today they have to their credit several accolades and notable performances in India and around the world.
