In the village of Ramgarh, retired police chief Thakur Baldev Singh plots to bring down the notorious bandit Gabbar Singh and enlists the help of two small-time criminals, Jai and Veeru. When Gabbar attacks the village, however, Jai and Veeru wonder why the once brave Thakur stands by watching. When they hear Thakur’s story, Jai and Veeru find a motivation that goes beyond the bounty promised for Gabbar’s capture.
