It is an all-encompassing art form that encapsulates diverse elements from jazz and hip-hop to storytelling and the Blues. And this is just scratching the surface. Rhyme, repartee and improvisation are vital aspects of spoken word performances. While discussing spoken word in the Indian context, the first name that comes to mind is Kommune.
