Tales of the Bull and the Tiger – Nandi and Simba – What are these tales? Whose stories will they tell, and to whom? And what are the narratives they will choose? How will they bring to life and vision, centuries of knowledge, wisdom, philosophy, poetry, music? Tales of the Bull and the Tiger will present choreography by Ananda Shankar Jayant with musical soundscape by Sathiraju Venumadhav, Jaathis by I. V. Renuka Prasad, costume design by Ganesh Nallari, Nagaiah Buddabathni and Deepa Krishnamachari, lights by Gyandev Singh, digital design by Gunjan Ashtaputre, voice by Jayant Dwarkanath, visual design by Pratima Sagar and a vibrant ensemble cast of dancers. This will be the first programme in the year-long celebration of Shankarananda Kalakshetra’s 40 years of service to the arts.
