We look at the creative world of the piano in jazz. Starting with the Fats Waller and the genius of Art Tatum, we explore the brilliance of Nat Cole, Thelonius Monk, Bud Powell, Oscar Peterson, Horace Silver, Ahmad Jamal, Bill Evans and on to Keith Jarrett and Herbie Hancock.
The piano is pivotal in jazz; we look at its contribution with plenty of anecdotes and tales about the characters behind the instrument from Sunil Sampat.
Admission on a first-come-first-served basis. NCPA Members will get preferential seating till 5.20 pm.
