The Magic of a Trio in Jazz Focusing on the Billy Kilson Trio

An NCPA Presentation

The combination of drums, acoustic piano and upright bass in jazz is a traditional all-time favourite. It is a jazz connoisseur’s dream to be in attendance in an acoustically perfect auditorium and listen to a trio of masters interact with each other to create musical magic.

Think of the Oscar Peterson trio or more recently the Keith Jarrett Trio. Drummer Billy Kilson, pianist Geoff Keezer and bassist Essiet Okon will be bringing similar magic to the NCPA stage later this month.

Sunil Sampat will explore the nuances of this rich jazz tradition with a focus on Kilson’s trio because there is no place better than the NCPA for the audience to explore the art of jazz.

Entry free on a first-come-first-served basis. NCPA Members will get preferential seating till 3.50 pm.
