In a lively session, interspersed with rousing folk music, filmmaker, theatre practitioner and vocalist Shilpa Mudbi Kothakota, along with co-founder of the Urban Folk Project, Adithya Kothakota, explores the myth of a fiery folk goddess. The blazing narrative of Yellamma, the deity of the devadasis and the jogathis (transgender people), is kept alive through these folk songs that are over 1500 years old.
