JOJO Library and Bookshop brings a curated selection of photobooks to the Dilip Piramal Art Gallery, with a themed reading room that exhibits the multiple intersections of performance with photography practices. By employing reenactment, repetition, subversion, and appropriation, the artists surveyed here elevate the photograph from a documentation of performance to documentation of concepts.
A wider reference section inhabits a library activation that transforms the gallery into a cluster of cozy spaces of a home.
