A man is sitting in terminal purgatory after his one-way boarding pass to Nowhere was rejected. He’s trapped in a bureaucratic timeout because the cosmic flight attendants are concerned he will back out and then blame them for allowing the consequences of his own choices to catch up with him. The man has successfully severed all ties with the outside world, but—plot twist—God still manages to slide into his DMs like an unwanted telemarketer who won’t take “I’m dead inside” for an answer.

Naturally, the man uses the downtime to completely dismantle the universe’s management. He delivers a masterclass in righteous fury, dragging the almighty over the coals for the abuse of his omnipotence, the misallocation of his omniscience and the unreliable track record of his omnipresence that leaves a lot to be desired.

Are we leaning towards a cynical third-act plot twist, or does the almighty actually pull a rabbit out of his omnipotent hat?
