The Rockstar (2011) Fanmeet at NCPA Mumbai is a heartfelt celebration of one of India’s most beloved musical dramas. Bringing together the film’s passionate fan community and the creative minds behind the masterpiece, the evening is designed as a shared journey through nostalgia, storytelling, and cinematic artistry.

The event blends immersive engagement activities, intimate conversations with the technical crew, a specially curated musical storytelling performance by Laksh Maheshwari and other artistes, and an in-depth interaction with the director Imtiaz Ali and cast. Each segment is crafted to honour the film’s legacy, explore its creative backbone, and relive the emotional resonance that continues to inspire audiences more than a decade later.

This fanmeet is not merely an event – it is a collective tribute to the world of Rockstar, where music, memory, and magic come alive once again.

Event Flow:

5:00 PM – Entry Opens

Guests begin arriving at NCPA. The atmosphere is set with thematic elements inspired by the world of

Rockstar—from visual displays to curated musical ambience.

5:00 PM – 5:30 PM – Engagement Activities & Celebration

Interactive activities invite fans to explore the film’s universe through installations, photo zones, trivia segments, and memory-sharing moments. This segment encourages community bonding and sets the tone for the evening.

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM – Conversation with the DOP, Editor & Crew (On Stage)

An insightful conversation spotlighting the film’s technical brilliance. The Director of Photography, Editor, and core crew members share behind-the-scenes stories, creative processes, and artistic challenges that shaped Rockstar’s visual and emotional identity.

6:30 PM – 7:00 PM – Break

Guests may explore the venue, engage with installations, or enjoy refreshments.

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM – Musical Storytelling Show

A soul-stirring performance by Laksh Maheshwari and accompanying artistes. Through narrative and music, this segment reimagines the emotional arc of Rockstar, offering a fresh experiential interpretation of its themes and compositions.

8:30 PM – 10:30 PM – Panel Discussion with the Director  & Cast

The culminating moment of the evening. The film’s director, Imtiaz Ali and cast come together for an in-depth, reflective panel.
